Eco Award at The Gates

This school year, The Gates will be undertaking an adventure to achieve the school's Eco Award for sustainability. As part of the award process, we will undertake an evaluation of our learning environment to become more 'eco-friendly' and work towards making more of our classroom time, 'Learning Outside the Classroom'. The result will hopefully be a more diverse outdoor area and a more personalised space for the children, over the course of a number of years.

A large part of the assessment process is to hold regular meetings of our Eco-Committee. We have this week announced the winners from each class, from years 2-6. This process was so very well responded to and there were over 40 applications for the positions! There were some outstanding applications in the form of letters, spoken Seesaw posts and even some cakes baked!
