Kingfishers Home Learning May 5th

Date: 5th May 2020 @ 8:04am

Good morning again everyone, thanks to everyone who completed their tasks yesterday. I am in school this week so will try to post some more videos after school when I get home at some point.

You know the routine by now...

1) Read Theory (x2 min)

2) Times tables rockstars (20mins)

3) LBQ code - wea

English - From looking at yesterdays responses, I think it will be worthwhile looking at using inverted commas for direct speech. This will be a good skill to cover as you will be able to try it out in your writing at the end of the week.

Please watch this video and read the website before completing the task.

Maths - Maths will be looking at solving MULTISTEP problems. This means that there will be more than one part to the question. There are only 10 questions but they should take you longer and require extra thinking time.

There will be lots of examples where it will ask you to add decimal numbers, you should all know how to do this by now as we have covered it a lot as a class this year. Remember - always line your digits up correctly with the correct place value. Your decimal points should always be directly above/below each other.

Afternoon topic web work -

It's been great to see so many amazing responses. There have been quite a lot of people who I have seen nothing from so far - please get in touch if there are any problems/ you do not know what to do.

Here are a few from this week:

Have a great day
