I am so super proud of all the homework that has been brought in throughout this term. Here are examples of more brought in this week. Yesterday, we attended the Merseyside Maritime Museum in Liverpool as a link to our topic work on the Titanic. Inside the museum, we explored various sections, detailing facts and statistics from the very start of the Titanic, looking at the links to Liverpool, right up to how we remember the passengers and the Titanic now.
We then took part in a workshop called ‘Voyage Discovery’ this was a unique learning opportunity whereby children were presented with a range of objects which could be handled, tried out, worn and even smelt! They were also given the opportunity to discuss and take part in dramatisations about the ship, exploring experiences associated with it.
We had a great day and learnt so much!!

Today, we became the passengers on board the RMS Titanic. We each received a boarding pass with the name of a real life passenger and their class. We watched video clips showing us the the difference between an evening in 1st class compared to 3rd class whilst learning about their use of facilities and their living conditions.
Through the use of drama and role play we experienced the different attitudes between classes, learning that the needs of the 1st class were always catered for.
