Date: 9th Feb 2021 @ 4:17pm

LGBT+ Rainbow Month

As part of LGBT+ Rainbow Month in school, we were given the fantastic opportunity of sending some questions in to Olly Pike.

Pop'n'Olly is an LGBTQ+ equality educational resource used by children, parents, carers and teachers. The educational resources, used in primary schools across the UK, and beyond, to teach about equality, diversity and acceptance.

Today, we were able to watch a video created by Olly answering all of our questions about LGBT and his resources.

The children loved it - here is what some of them said:

Isabella- "I liked this video and I learnt that you can be anything you want to be as long as you are happy,"

Erin - "Olly's video taught more about LGBT+ and that everyone is equal. The books are great to teach more about the LGBT+ community,"

Oliver - "I learnt aht we need to accept how people feel and we should accept that. I also learnt that it doesn't matter if you are different as long as you are happy,"

Jasmine - "I thought that the video was really good because it explained quite a lot. I also really liked the two boosk which Olly read for us, they were very interesting!"
