Kingfishers Home Learning 28th April

Date: 28th Apr 2020 @ 8:49am

Good morning everyone, I was really impressed with our SeeSaw work yesterday, I could see clear progress being made as you worked through the questions. Please leave a comment on here with the question number if you are stuck and would like any help with any of the questions.

Todays tasks are as follows:

1) Read Theory - minimum x2 (approx 30mins)

2) Times tables rockstars (approx 20 mins)

3) LBQ code - rqj

English - revision on commas

Commas are extremely common and can be used for a variety of things. Here is a quick recap: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zvwwxnb/articles/zc773k7

One thing which is not mentioned on the video however is commas in lists.

For example:

I went to the shop to buy eggs, milk, bananas and bread.

Maths = finding the perimeter of composite shapes

To find the perimeter we need to add together the length of ALL exterior (outside) sides. This formula is quite simple however where this can become tricky is when not all sides to the shape are revealed. Here is an example I made below.

Watch the videos below before attempting the task to help you.

4) Writing task on SeeSaw -

Today I would just reccomend planning your ideas, look at the paragraph breakdown on SeeSaw and plan some key points onto a homemade plan. What are you going to include in your introduction? Main paragraph 1? Main paragraph 2? What questions would you like to ask him? Key vocabulary you would like to include?

5) Afternoon topic web work

6) Spellings -  I have attached this weeks spellings onto SeeSaw, you have until Friday to practice them. You can then test yourselves and upload your test onto SeeSaw.
