Good morning!

I posted a couple of short videos going over some of the previous days LBQ questions on a separate blog post yesterday if anyone is interested, I'll try to post a few more in the coming days when I figure out which is the best screen recording application to use which doesn't cut me off after 3 minutes - maybe it's just tired of hearing my voice...surely not? Either way, I'm feeling super cool now I am an official YouTuber - not really 100% sure on what I am doing yet so any tips would be appreciated.

Today's tasks are as follows

Maths - Compare and order amounts of money.

The main challenge of this task is to understand how money is usually presented in decimal form. It is important to understand that there are 100p in 1 pound.

This next question is asking us to compare the money and order it from largest to smallest. It will help us if we can look at all of the money in decimal form. When comparing numbers or amounts in maths it makes sense to convert them all into the same unit or format. I have looked at 27p and seen that there is nothing in the hundreds column therefore there are 0 pounds = 0.27. (0 pounds, two 10ps and a 7p).

 

English - Synonyms and antonyms. Try to include some of this knowledge when editing of your letter afterwards.

Marking Ladder 

Accurate spelling attempts

Correct placement of capital letters, full stops and commas.

Range of openers (e.g. firstly, in my opinion, to conclude)

Subordinate Clauses (e.g. Because of your hard work, the nation are pulling together).

Relative Clauses (e.g. The NHS, which is a unique service to the UK, are grateful for your work.

Ambitious Vocabulary - I have looked to see if I could use synonyms and antonyms to improve my vocabulary.
