Good morning everyone,

I've been informed that not everyone has been receiving my feedback/comments on SeeSaw and some people still cannot see the writing task or spellings. I think I have discovered the root of the problem so hopefully they should be visible at some point this morning.

Maths - Addition and subtraction review

This task is going to challenge your judgement on when to use which method. It is always ideal to choose the most efficient method - which is quickest and easiest? Some will require written method and some are best done mentally.

The diagram below shows an efficient way of mentally solving 74 - 27. We have taken away 30 (3 more than we should have taken) and then added that extra 3 to our answer. Remember that when adding using the same method, for example 74 + 27, you would add 30 and then subtract the extra 3

4) Written task -

Your weekly task is to write a newspaper report on VE day, on Monday you should have done a bit of research on VE day itself, today you can either start to plan your report or start to write a first draft (depending where you are up to). I understand that we might all be upto different points due to the technical issue on SeeSaw.

5) Afternoon topic web work - You can choose any topic from any any of the previous terms. Choose something that you are interested in and want to learn more about.
