Owls Class Home Learning 15.04.20

Date: 15th Apr 2020 @ 4:27pm

Hello my little munchkins!

How are you all? I hope you had a wonderful Easter break and are now fully rested! Well it was a quiet Easter for me, which was very different. I’m usually catching up with friends and family, but seeing them on video calls was just as fun (especially when my mum is often upside down!).

It’s been lovely seeing spring arrive and I’ve managed to spend a lot of time in my garden. I planted a new tree last summer and it’s starting to flower for the first time. Doesn’t it look pretty?

I’ve not been able to see my niece Erin and nephew Theo for a long time now, but I’ve been entertained by lots of
photos and videos sent to me. They were also kind enough to send me some Easter brownies through the post. I
certainly enjoyed them with a cup of tea!

It was lovely to speak to most of Owl Class families last week and to hear that you’re all doing well. I know a lot of
you are missing your friends in school and it is strange being at home all day, but this will end eventually and we’ll be back in school with our friends soon enough! In the meantime, why don’t you post a blog update and show everyone what you have been up to over the past couple of weeks?

Today’s home learning is:
IXL:
Maths – Year 2 – Measurement - R1, R2, R3
English – Year 2 – Verbs – O1, O2, O3

Don’t forget there are 2Dos set on Purple Mash and Read Theory has some reading comprehensions available too.

There has been some super learning of Purple Mash – I will be posting some of my favourite examples later today –
why don’t you leave a comment for your friend to show them how impressed you are?

You have all done a wonderful job on IXL so far – we’ve now received a certificate for answer 40,000 questions.
Wow!!

Have a wonderful day everyone! I’ll look forward to seeing all of your hard work online and some blog updates.
