Penguin Homelearning 4th June

Date: 3rd Jun 2020 @ 5:09pm

Good morning penguins!

Hope you all had a great day yesterday even with the weather turning rainy!

There was some lovely writing today, I am really pleased with some of the language that you have chosen to use, its brilliant!

Maths

Today we are going to recap on halving.  Can you remember what halving is?  Can you remember the steps you need to follow to halve?

Have another look at the videos and then choose a number to 20 and see if you can halve it using drawings.  I have also added some word problems again for you to try.

Literacy

Watch the video of me reading our story this week.

Today we are going to use our brilliant describing skills to describe the beanstalk.

Have a look at the picture, write a list of adjectives to describe the bean stalk.

Now use some of those adjectives to write at least 3 sentences to describe the beanstalk.

Can you draw or paint a picture of the beanstalk too?

Phase 3 buried treasure today.  Remember you can do phase 2 or 4 if you need to. Try and practise those sounds that you are not sure on to help them stick.

Daily reminders:

  • Oxford owl reading
  • Purple Mash
  • Spellings

Don’t forget to upload your pictures on the blog so I can see what you have been doing.

Have a great day!
