Y6 Leavers

Today, we say goodbye to our Year 6 pupils.

You have been an outstanding year group; not only in your academic achievements and the progress you have made through your time here but in the progress you have made socially. You have been excellent role models to the younger pupils within school and throughout this time of uncertainty you have shown immense resilience, determination, understanding and responsibility.

The picnic we held on Monday was a wonderful way to reunite and catch up. Throughout the year, you have kept us all entertained with your funny jokes and stories and continued to do this right up until the very end. We have laughed, we have cried, we have made memories which will stay with us a lifetime! You have grown in many different ways, and the progress you have made matters more than you know. 

Today, we close the door to the past.

Open the door to the future.

Take a deep breath, step on through and start a new chapter in your life.

You are all ready for this next chapter in your life, you are a credit to yourselves, your families and the school and we would all like to wish you every success in the future.

From all the staff and children at The Gates Primary school, we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavours! Continue to aim high!
