Date: 26th Mar 2020 @ 3:28pm

Just a quick message to say a massive thanks to those of you who again have undertaken the learning in such smashing weather! We are through the roof with great answers and the data for each bit of this NEW learning is incredible! Keep up the smashing effort, we are nearly towards the end of another week, no more from me after tomorrow, then Monday! laugh

I will look at the data for IXL and feed this back, some big 'end of week' shout-outs I feel! Keep trying, keep that resillience high and listen to your parents. I have had the most wonderful feedback from some of them, make sure to thank them. It is all down to you Swallows, keep up that effort!

See you tomorrow,

Mr Pryle

Happy Friday Puffins!

Hope that you are all safe and well. Yesterday, I went for a very long walk with my children and we have been doing the PE with Joe Wicks every morning. This morning when I woke up I could hardly move! Have you been doing any PE with Joe Wicks or similar? Did anyone clap at 8pm last night for the NHS and other frontline workers? All of our street did and it was great to hear. I also saw the International Space Station fly over my house! I will do a seperate blog about this. We would love to hear from you in a Blog as we are missing you all lots.

Keep smiling and using your Worry Monsters if you need them.

Starlings Home Learning

Date: 26th Mar 2020 @ 2:51pm

Good Afternoon Starlings!

I have just been checking LBQ and I'm quite pleased - however there are still 8 of you who haven't done the work from today, and 4 who have not done anything all week...

We all appreciate this is a very strange time at the moment but as teachers we have made it clear that we would like you to help us to help you by taking part in the work we set. Tomorrow is the last chance to have complete work I set before Easter, lets try and finish this strange term on a high! I will be posting the new code again in the morning, please try and do the work early on, as the later you leave it the less likely you are to do it!

Remember, each day there is an LBQ code alongside TTRockstars, Read Theory and IXL. Keep pushing yourselevs guys, you are really clever, now is the time to show it to your parents! If you are still having problems please comment on the daily blogs to let me know and I will fix it asap, as some of you know already!

For those who have done some amazing work, thank you so much it has put a massive smile on my face! Keep your work coming in via the pupil blogs, we don't have many from Starlings at the moment and I would love to show thoe rest of the school what you have been getting up to!

Take care,

Mr. Dean

It's so great to see so many children creating rainbows to put in their windows.

Take a look at Eddie's rainbows. Hasn't he done a brilliant job?

Don't forget to post anything you want to share with us on the pupil blogs.

Storms don't last forever

Date: 26th Mar 2020 @ 11:44am

As a short break from the sun (There are a few red faces, make sure you're not forgetting to use suncream in this gorgeous weather!), we have started to create even more rainbows to spread around school and our local area as a nice reminder that no matter what troubles we may face now, it will soon be a thing of the past and lead to better times!

Keep smiling guys!

IXL

Date: 26th Mar 2020 @ 10:10am

I have just been looking at the IXL, you are doing brilliant Penguins.  Poppy is currently in the lead with 680 questions answered closely followed by Freddie and Tilly.

Like Miss Altham said, lets see if we can have a big push today and raise those numbers.

Day 4 in Paradise

Date: 26th Mar 2020 @ 9:46am

Good morning guys!

Definetly fair to say I am mssing you all lots, it isn't the same without having to tell half of you to sit back down and put your hands up!! I hope you're all staying safe and getting up to lots of fun after you have done all your learning wink

Over the 3 classes in LKS2 we have answered over 20,000 questions on IXL which is amaxing, however one young lady stands out for answering 1367 questions all by herself! Congratulations Eva, keep up the hard work! It was really pleasing to see many of you accept my challenge to try and catch her up, some of you got very close!

There is a positive to all that is going on, that being the might Bolotn Wanderers have now gone 30 days unbeaten! Well done to those of you who got them as being the last team to knock out Athletico Madrid!

Hopefully you will all be getting your own pupil logins soon so you will be able to reply and ask questions to be with a bit more ease!

If you do answer this question: Bob's mum has 4 children, North, East and West. What is the name of the 4th child?

Last point: Please can we all still be using TTRockstars, some people haven't been online since the 4th March, yes I can see how long you have been on and when that last was, well done Oliver L for the wealth you have achieved so far!

Take care Starlings, all the best,

Mr. D

Good morning Swallows!

I have just spent this morning discussing the learning at home from yesterday over breakfast, so impressive! I have also just spent this morning with Eliza listening to David Walliams' new audio book series called 'elevenses', a short story each day from his books to keep us all chuckling along. Have a listen when you can, 'Grubby Gertrude' today, had me thinking about my own children here parents!

https://www.worldofdavidwalliams.com/elevenses/

Stay focussed on helping out at home today, the sun is really making things easier for us all at the moment, but try to keep the routine. Keep handwashing and thinking of my favourite Everton player Richarlison, that has made me smile recently! We miss your happy, smiling faces and the laughter you all bring. I'm sure it won't be long before we are together again, counting from the metre stick!

Take care, my thoughts are with you all, Mr P laugh

It was great to see so many of you working hard on your home learning tasks, I am seeing some great results on the LBQ tasks left for you with your correct responses ranging from 55% to 82%. Please make sure on LBQ you are typing in your name and not a nickname.

I had a lovely day yesterday! I started with the Joe Wicks workout, spent some time outside in the sun with my dog and went for a lovely stroll (I even earned my Hawaii badge from Fitbit for walking 563 lifetime kilometres) - every little helps!

An email was sent out to parents last night in which you shold have received a pupil login for your own blog. This will make it super easier for you to tell me about your day and upload some pictures of your excellent home learning. Well done to Martha, Ava-Paige and Akshay who have already completed 1 blog post.

Eagles - 26th March - Home Learning

Date: 25th Mar 2020 @ 6:24pm

Good morning Eagles!

Great work yesterday to those (67%) who completed all LBQ tasks, although this was down slightly from Tuesday (75%) - lets have a big effort today! And most importantly, lets beat Doves!

I had a great day yesterday and was able to spend some time in the garden with Alexander in the morning (pics to follow). We painted a butterfly (symmetry) and I was able to talk him through some maths problems with balls from his ball pool. I did try to use bar model so he could visualise the problems; however, this does not seem to work for 2 year olds, particularly when they aren't looking at what you're pointing at - reminds me of some of you guys! :)

It would be great to hear how some of you are getting along. You will receive a pupil login shortly which will make it much easier for you to get in touch and upload some of your excellent home learning. You could even upload some of your reading in unusual places this way.

Have a great day!

Remember, Stay home, Protect the NHS, Save lives.

Take care,

Mr Simpson
