The sun was shining yesterday afternoon so what better time to make cakes in the texture kitchen?
We had great fun adding different ingredients and sharing the cakes with friends.

Lenny had a great weekend with his new friend. He ate his favourite food, apples and had lots of cuddles!

As part of ourselves topic we looked at how we taste things! We talked about our tounges and tastebuds!
We then tried different types of fruits and described how they tasted; we had some funny faces when trying the lemons!

Well it seems as though Ellie had such a fun weekend. Ellie got busy play with playdough, snuggling and my favourite eating chips for starter and rice for mains at the Chinese! I wonder who she’ll go home with this week!

Thank you to all the parents who joined us last night for our curriculum evening. It’s was lovely to see you all there and we hope you found it useful.

We have been using shakey eggs to keep in time with the beat. We had so much fun experimenting with the different sounds that the eggs make and singing along to our favourite songs.

There has been lots of interest in our observation station this week! We have fish and some snails. Using the magnifying glasses they have been looking closely at the snails and talking about what they can see!

As part of our ourselves topic we have loved cleaning the giant teeth that have now been nicknamed Granny’s teeth! They have done a really good job squirting the toothpaste and then giving them a good clean!

As part of our ourselves topic we have been using lots of different resources to make faces. We have used buttons, curtain rings, corks, beads, mats, playdough and lots lots more.

Over the weekend Mrs Jarrett collected some pebbles from the beach and brought them in to explore. We made faces and patterns, lined them up and counted them and even showed great concentration and good find motor control to balance and build a tower.

We have had our first piece of home learning from our homework topic web we sent home on Friday! Well done it looks amazing! We can’t wait to see more coming in this term. Remember the expectation is that at least 1 activity from the homework web is completed!
