Date: 27th Mar 2020 @ 6:26pm

Wow, what a week Penguins.

I have really enjoyed seeing all your great photos on the pupil blog and seeing all that super learning you've been doing on IXL and Purple Mash.

Dougie has had a fun-filled week doing lots of learning at home with his grown-ups and enjoying the sunshine.

Have a lovely week off next week and I can't wait to hear all about your Easter. Don't eat too much chocolate :)

Date: 27th Mar 2020 @ 3:41pm

Well that brings our Friday to a close and what a fab day you have all had!

We've had a lovely day, its been Elsie's birthday so we have spent time playing with new toys and eating lots of cake and we are just about to go on a bike ride on Elsie's new bike!

I am so impressed with your IXL learning, Wyatt you are this weeks winner with an amazing 891 questions answered, closely followed by Alex with 845.  Erin you have done amazing too with 771 questions answered. Some children are still to log on though so remember to give them a go!

The purple mash learning has been great again and there has been some lovely birthday pictures and sentences, so thank you penguins!

We have had a couple more blogs today of some busy learning but I'd like to see lots more.

Well done penguins on all your hard work this week, you have blown my socks off!

I hope you have been enjoying the sunshine this week. I have! I have been doing lots of puzzles and exercise outside and my two cats have even been sunbathing!

I am so pleased to see so many children taking part in the home learning activities and I love looking at all the new creations on Purple Mash and Mini Mash. I wonder if you could create an easter egg today?

Today's tasks are as follows:

IXL:
Maths- E1, K1

Please also complete activities on Purple Mash and Mini Mash.

Let's begin the day with a challenge. Can you go for a walk with your grown-ups and count how many rainbows you see? You could even take pictures of your walk and put them on the blog for teachers to see!

I hope you have a wonderful day Penguins and I can't wait to see all your creations.

English – Year 1 - rhyming E.2, E.3, E.4

Phonics play - can you grab a giggling grapheme?  This is great fun and will make you giggle too!

Please also complete activities on:

Lets kick the day off with some subitising!

Rainbows! , by Mrs Jarrett

Date: 24th Mar 2020 @ 10:57pm

Lots have people have been making rainbows and putting them in their windows for everyone to see when they are out for a walk.  Mr Dean has said they made him smile when walking home from school yesterday!

Have you created one yet? If you haven't can you create one today and put it in your window! If you get chance to go for a walk today you could count how many you find and comment on this blog to tell me!

These are the rainbows I made today with my children that are now in our window.

I have added below the home learning for today and don't forget the purple mash to do's and to save your work so I can see what you’re up to.

I thought today we could use our bodies to make some repeating patterns!  Once you have tried the video ones a few times, could you make you own up! I'd love to see them!

Today’s tasks will be as follows:

IXL:

Maths – Reception - Patterns - M.1, M.2, M.3, M.4.

If you think you're ready for a challenge try; Year 1- Patterns - I.7, I.8.

English – I thought we would recap our position language today as we sometimes get a bit muddled. So please complete : H.7, H.8, H.9.

Phonics play - you could practise your tricky words today on the truck app.  Use Phase 2,3, or 4 depending on what tricky word book mark you're up to.  Comment below on how long it takes you to read them, I wonder who can be the quickest?
