Autumn
We have had a busy start to the Year as Digital Leaders. We have discussed how we think we can make the biggest positive impact on our school community, and have started to develop plans for how to use technology in our learning and wider school day. We have helped to discuss Digital Citizenship in our classes, making sure everybody knows how to use the internet in a way that will keep themselves and their peers safe. We have also used our amazing computing skills to make posters advertising our roles and strengths to our classmates. Now that they are developing skills in Digital Literacy, they need to know who to come to for device. Our eye-catching posters show many of the skills our peers will be learning, so the teachers will have some expert assistance for the rest of the half term!

SAFER INTERNET DAY
This term, Digital Leaders decided to teach a lesson to their class for Safer Internet Day 2025 as opposed to the usual assembly. It was a bit daunting at first but it turned out to be a great activity for our self-confidence and independence! The theme ‘Too good to be true?’ allowed us to educate our peers about different scams we might see on the internet, how to deal with these when they appear and also to acknowledge that not everything we see online is true. Children then completed the quiz we created based on the lesson delivered.
