Doves - 24th April - Home Learning

Happy Friday Doves! I hope you’re all okay and still making the most of your time at home. Yesterday, I made some fudge (I’ve never made fudge before!), I’m obviously slightly biased... but it was great! Make sure to blog tomorrow, with some images if possible, so I can see what you have been up to this week.

 

Important information:

1. During my daily checks of work, I have noticed some posts/comments which are unsuitable for the school learning platform. Please ensure you are activing sensibly and resposibly online at all times.  
2. In addition to this, there are children who are completing LBQ tasks 3 or 4 times. I understand that LBQ can sometimes kick you out (as you’re getting stuck into your work), but it is looking like children are restarting their work when they incorrectly answer a question. Getting questions wrong is part of the learning process, please keep going!   
3. Lastly, as mentioned in a post yesterday, we should be aiming to only attempt a question 3 times on LBQ. Over the week, I have seen some attempts of 10+.                     

If you're struggling, there are various things to do.

1. Post a comment on the blog and I will respond as soon as I can to support you. 

2. Read the feedback carefully from LBQ, it provides you with tips and hints. 

3. If you have access to the internet, look for examples online, tutorials through videos. 

Today’s tasks will be as follows:

1.Reading Solutions or Read Theory: 1 comprehensions (minimum) 

2.   SPAG x3 – Code  - yjc                                                                                                                                        
   Task 1 - This is a pick and mix from all of your learning this week.                                       Task 2 – Spellings to support Doves class – ‘ture’                                                                        Task 3 – Spellings to support Eagles class                                                                          Everyone should complete task 1 and then either task 2/3 depending on your class and spellings.

Writing task and spellings                                                                                                                     Make sure you are complete your spelling test today – I can’t wait to see all of your score. I will be collecting this scores weekly and tracking them. Also, your writing is due in today, there are some great examples already on the blog so make sure you read them.
