Negative numbers- tug of war game

We played tug of war in maths on Wednesday to help us with our understanding of negative numbers. Starting at 0, the children took it in turn to roll a dice to generate a number. One person was subtracting and trying to get to -15, one person was adding and trying to get to +15. The children played the game brilliantly as they always do in activities like this one.
