Good morning penguins! 

Hope you are all doing ok.  There was some good learning blogged yesterday but I was a little disappointed, as lots of you hadn’t blogged.  Its really good for me to see your learning and see how you are getting on and how I can help you so please remember to blog your learning each day!

Maths

Today we are going to recap on doubling.  Can you remember what doubling is?  Can you remember the steps you need to follow to double?

Have another look at the videos and then choose a number to 10 and see if you can double it using drawings.  I have also added some word problems for you to try.

  

Literacy

Watch the video of me reading our story this week.

Today we are going to write a character profile of the Giant.  Use yesterdays example as a WAGOLL and I have added a picture to help you.  Remember to write a list of adjectives first to describe the giant.  Can you write at least 3 sentences?

Is he big?

Is he strong?

What does he smell of?

Is he mean?

Challenge:  Use a conjunction in your sentence to add in more information.

Phase 3 giggling grapheme.  Remember you can do phase 2 or 4 if you need to.
