Hello Puffins!

Hope that you are all happy, well and have had a lovely half term. As mentioned in the Newsletter, Miss Thompson has now left our class. We will miss her so much. We now have Mrs Bevin returning from maternity leave who will be our beginning of the week Puffin Teacher. Mrs Bevin worked in Puffin Class before she went to have her beautiful baby girl. To help Mrs Bevin get to know you I have set up a ‘discussion’ so that you can message her (like when we have a spellings ‘discussion’ area). Maybe you can tell her something about you or something that you have done that you are proud of whilst in Puffins? I have already told her how amazing you all are, and she is extremely excited to meet you and hear from you.

 

Special Mentions

Well done, you have been amazing with all the home learning before we broke up for half term. We have had some brilliant Guess Who descriptions and I was blown away when I went on Purple Mash to see how good you are getting at designing and painting. If any of you are finding it easy now to paint using your finger on a tablet, why not challenge yourself to using a mouse if you have access to one at home?

Non-Stop Challenge (can also be seen in a separate blog)

Last week Mr Horsley set this non-stop challenge and nominated Mrs Jarrett to complete it.  Mrs Jarrett did the challenge and then nominated me to do it too!

On Sunday I decided to complete my challenge, I ran for 2.17 miles without stopping and was tired out at the end but I felt great. It has been a long while since I did some running.  

Have a go and see if you can do it, if you check out Mr Horsely's disscussion you will be able to comment on there!

So I nominate:

Mrs Higginbottom and Mr Dean to do the challenge now.  I also nomiate Jack, Harrison and Freddie in Puffin Class to have a go!

Nasa Space X Mission

Did anybody watch this? I was fascinated, especially after all our topic work about Space. I watched the International Space Station fly over my house again too! Here's the link for anybody that missed the launch.
