Happy Thursday Puffins!

Hope your week is going well so far? Yesterday, on our morning walk, we went passed a pond and spotted some ducklings! What a lovely sight.

 

Special Mentions

The Purple Mash work is blowing us away. The attention to detail, use of colour and different skills such as mouse skills and typing is brilliant to see.

 

 

Well done to Harrison for his Guess Who writing activity. Who do you think he is describing? Well done to our other Puffin for his hard work with reading, Purple Mash and spellings.

 

 

Today’s tasks are as follows:

iXL English: I.2, Q.3, H.8 (Year 2)

iXL Maths: A.3, A.10, R.6 (Year 2 section- we might switch between Yr1 and 2 on different days)

Please also complete activities on Purple Mash, check the writing challenge, spellings (in discussions) and Read Theory.

 

Phonics

Please use your phonics session time this week to check that you recognise these sounds and can read and write words with them. Anything you are unsure of please go back and re-watch the online lessons or play the games suggested with the sounds that you need to plug the gaps. It would be brilliant if you set yourselves the challenge of confidently knowing and using the sounds up to split digraph e-e by the end of the half term.  

 

 

Mental Health Week

Have you completed anything special activities for Mental Health week? This one of our Puffins in school yesterday. She made a positivity jar on card of all the things that she likes to do to relax, keep calm and stay positive.
