LBQ

Date: 24th Mar 2020 @ 9:51am

You're all going to be tired of me soon!

I've had some people asking about LBQ, the code will be live everyday until 3.15. If you are trying to access it after this the lesson will have ended therefore the code will be dead. If this is the case please attempt work on IXL instead.

How to access LBQ:

Search LBQ on google

Click on the first link

In the top right corner (Log in)

Select the Connect button under the pupil

Enter the code and have fun!

Eagles / Doves - Maths. Task 2: Q13 & 29

Date: 24th Mar 2020 @ 9:44am

Task 2:

Q13

The question and picture show different questions. Answer the question - not the fractions in the picture.

1 1/6 + 1/5 + 1 1/3 =

1 5/30 + 6/30 + 1 10/30

= 2 21/30

= 2 7/10

The correct answer should be 2 7/10. However, there is a mistake on LBQ which says the answer is 2 21/30 (not in simplest form). This has never happened before, apologies.

Q29:

Eating + Playing =

1 1/4 + 5 2/3 =

1 3/12 + 5 8/12 = 6 11/12

Total - Homework.

6 11/12 - 5/12 = 6 6/12

= 6 1/2

(LBQ says the answer is 3 1/2 - it isn't. I'll check through in future - this hasn't happened before. Must be a duff set!)

Lockdown day 1

Date: 24th Mar 2020 @ 9:42am

Good morning guys!

Your learning for the day is up on the blog, I'll add some help on how to access LBQ from home (It is only accessabile until 3.15).

As things stand we have enough biscuits to get us through these next few weeks so all is good! It was amazing to see so many of you log on to learn yesterday, especially with the hiccup with the code (Sorry!).

The weather is gorgeous at the moment so I hope you are all being able to enjoy it safely in your own homes. Please keep me entertained with any stories about what you get up to during this extended break.

I've enjoyed the chance to finally get organised and tidied, a miracle I know! You won't recognise the place when you come back (We can finally see the side children!)

I will be adding a trivia question to the end of my daily blog, the first correct reply will be added to the blog and you will have 10 house points when we return.

First Question: Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?

Have a great day guys!

Mr. Dean

1. David Walliams

David Walliams has written a range of amazing children's books and for the next 30 days at 11am, you can listen to one of David Walliams' World Worst Children Stories!

Following the following link: www.worldofdavidwalliams.com and scroll down to find the 'elevenses tab'.

This is an amazing opportunity and one that I have completed previously! BSL are allowing children to complete their course for free for children under the age of 18 (usually £75)! Along the way, you learn how to sign for different things e.g. colours, names, place etc before receiving an official certificate at the end once completed! However, I've noticed that lots of people are attempting to access this at the moment and there is often a queue to get on the site.
