Daily links will be provided for all lessons. Once on the site, most lessons start with a quick introductory quiz, followed by a teaching video, followed by an activity and a recap quiz.

A discussion feed has been sent up to share the work from the previous day. If you are unsure of how this should look please look at yesterday's discussion feed (17.06.20)

I have also attached their examples to this blog post to view. If you're working on a computer your easiest way is to use the 'snipping tool' located on your desktop programmes. This allows you to take a screenshot of your page and save the image which can then be uploaded.

If you're struggling with this, please make me aware so I can help! :)

Challenge: can you write what you have found as number sentences?

Today we are going to look at writing the long ‘oo’ sound.  Watch the video and follow the instructions.

Robins - Home Learning Celebration 17.6.20

Date: 17th Jun 2020 @ 4:54pm

Wow, I am so impressed with the home learning I have seen over the past couple of days, thank you to all those children who have shared on the blog I don't think I have ever seen so many posts in one day!

Ethan F has been on a walk to see the swans and has made a super fact file about his daddy

One of you has really enjoyed the English lessons on 'THe Firework Makers Daughter'. I love how you have even included your Learning Objective

Another member of Ronbins has been super busy and grown some carrots and peas during this time. She has also written a super fact file about her daddy!

I have been incredibly jealous looking at all the activities this person has got up to, tie-die, paddling in the stream, growing strawberries, having tea parties in the garden and riding her bike. I am not so jealous of you painting the kitchen though, please feel free to come and do mine!

Another super fact file about this person's daddy!

Some brilliant purple mash work as well has been submitted, on our Superhero theme.

Keep up the good work guys!!

Today’s learning:

Today we are starting to use a website called The Oak Academy. This website is a government site and on it they have put lots of links and ideas to support you at home. We have decided not to use the activities everyday, but wanted to use some of them on some days instead of LBQ. LBQ will be set on a Monday and Tuesday for all learning and also on a Friday for Maths.

As explained yesterday, there will be a mix of video clips from year 3 and 4. Sometimes the video clip will not be your year group but it’s all been carefully planned in so don’t worry.

I will set up a discussion feed for you to share any work which you complete using the Oak Academy. You could take a picture or screen shot the page then upload it if you wish.

Here are our tasks:

Good morning everyone,

After feedback from parents, teachers and children – we have decided to freshen up our home learning routine. LBQ will still be used but less so than previously. In its place, we will be using National Oak Academy to provide online teaching which will provide more support to your children whilst providing a wider range of subjects. Daily links will be provided for all lessons. Once on the site, most lessons start with a quick introductory quiz, followed by a teaching video, followed by an activity and a recap quiz.

The aim is that you will be receiving input from the video which will prepare you better for the written task and LBQ tasks towards the end of the week.

I have attached some examples of submitted Oak Academy work which you can submit to SeeSaw. If you're working on a computer your easiest way is to use the 'snipping tool' located on your desktop programmes. This allows you to take a screenshot of your page and save the image which can then be uploaded.

If you're struggling with this, please make me aware so I can help! :)
