Last week, we were lucky enough to have two members of the Youth MP candidacy visit our school. They spoke to us about their role, and the process of the being elected. After this, we watched the manifestos of the 12 candidates before those children who were 11 voted for two.

In school we follow the 100 book challenge which offers lots of exciting books for your children to read.
Here are the titles of the books which make up the challenge. It would be fantastic if all children continue with their daily reading by reading some of these books at home.

Over the up coming weeks, we hope that you are able to keep up the great work you have done improving your reading skills. Alongside the home reader, we reccommend books from the 100 book challenge for you all as they are what we as a school reccommened as high quality reading for your age. I have attatched 5 documents that show you which books they are incase you do not have access to the list we last sent home.
Please keep reading, no excuses for not reading 4 times when we are back!

Over the last few weeks we have been trying to focus really hard on our presentation, especially with our handwriting. As a result of the impending closure I would appreciate if we could kep up the hard work and practice our handwriting wherever possible.

What an aexciting day we have had! This afternoon 4 of our baby ducklings have hatched. The children sat and watch them and have been fascinated watching them hatch out of the eggs. They have been so quiet and it has prvoked some amazing conversations!

The children spent today assembling their diorama's of the Australian bush and outback, ready for an experiment next week. The children worked well in groups to snip and build a dense thicket of compact trees, simulating the dry and cramped condidtions of the forests that were so devistated at the start of the year. Some excellent learning so far Swallows, superb collaboration!
